Eeek. Did it again. Totally let this blog slide. I’ve said this before, but professional bloggers- I have mad respect for ya’ll.
I’d like to say that I was just SO busy with work or that I went on some monumental life-changing adventures to explain my absence, but the reality is that I’ve just been posting everything to instagram and completely neglecting this site. It’s just too easy, that instant gratification of posting finished work (and I’m definitely guilty of using emojis in place of actual sentences for my captions.) Yeah, I’m totally in. Pretty deep. So while I’m absolutely going to make an effort to get this blog running again- I’m still gonna be on instagram. SO you might as well check that out too. Follow me @likelylexi
All that being said- I really do want to be better at blogging! So here I am (again) playing catch up.
Let’s tie up some loose ends:

Holiday Window Drawings // Winter 2014

There’s also a really nice interview post about both holiday windows I did for Rare Device here. I sadly never got great photos of the other two windows I did- but I have enlisted some very talented photographer friends to make sure that doesn’t happen again. I currently have my Valentine window displays waiting to be photographed (!!)
Thanks for being patient with me, whoever is reading this. More soon.
I made FOUR holiday window installations in the span of 3 weeks! I KNOW! I’m insane.
But I love it.
Here’s some snippets of what I was working on. Materials range from felt, paper, paint-marker, and cardboard. Styles range from installations, hand-drawings, draping, and typography. Full photos soon, but for now some teasers.
I’ve cranked out a good bundle of baby felt cacti. I’ll be bringing some to the CCA Holiday Fair this Saturday, November 22nd and I’m selling some on my etsy. PS- I gave them names:
// Gossamer //
// Pink Baby //
// Sunflower //
// Little Buds //
// Happy Monster //
I’m also planning on bringing some flower crowns (surprised right?) , some art prints, pug totes, more cat bobbi pins and brooches, and hopefully some ornaments! Trying to pull off 4 holiday windows and a craft fair this month, eek (!)
More PS- Pictured in above pictures is my gold washi tape wall! I think it’s the happiest!
So that time I did two Halloween windows and never talked about them. Here we go!
These ghosts!!! I know, crazy spooky scary. This was my Halloween window for the Rare Device//Noe Valley store. It had to be done rather quickly, so I stitched up these ghosties. I kept the gold diamonds that were up with the Cactus window because, why not, they’re cool. I like this last photo, it looks like they’re having a party and they”re singing.
I hung up my original creepy girl drawings at the Divisadero store. It was probably the simplest installation I’ve done, but it still took me forever. (People who install quickly, so impressed with you.) I also printed up some postcard sets and 8 x 10 prints.
I love making and sending Valentines! I’m so happy with these, I think they’re the cutest!
I’m trying to be better about sending out holiday cards this year! I always send out Valentines, so hopefully I can keep up the momentum.
Have the happiest day!!!
Alright, I know it’s not quite February but it’s close enough to start bombarding ya’ll with lots and lots of hearts right? I recently dressed the Story window for February/Valentines, and my statement creation was a heart pinata! Here’s some progress pics of how it was done:
I’m so happy with how it came out! Given enough time, cardboard, and tape…I think I could go pinata crazy! Hoping to squeeze in a few more (little) valentine’s day inspired pinatas soon!
